How getlocal works: jobs, services, classifieds and your local community

getlocal brings the useful parts of your neighbourhood into one place.

Jobs & services

Workers create a profile with the services they offer, their area and availability. People who need help can search nearby workers, send an enquiry or post a job. Reviews can only be left after real work.

Classifieds

Buy and sell second-hand items near you. Adult services and listings are not allowed.

Your local feed

Follow people and local businesses, share updates and see what is happening nearby in For you and Following.

Messages

Private chat with photos and voice notes. People you have not connected with land in message requests, so you stay in control.

Recommendations

Suggested people and workers are ranked by things you can see: how close they are, shared skills and interests, recent activity and mutual connections. No hidden pay-to-rank.

Safety

Verified profiles, blocking and reporting on every profile and message, and a Safety Centre with local helplines for each country.

Price

getlocal is free to join and use. Optional paid extras are coming soon; nothing core will move behind a paywall.
