getlocal is a free app for your local area in Italy: hire trusted people for jobs around the home, find work nearby, buy and sell second-hand, and connect with neighbours through a social feed and private chat.

Is getlocal free?

Yes. Profiles, posting jobs, offering services, classifieds, the feed and messaging are free. Optional paid extras are coming soon and nothing core will move behind a paywall.

How are people and workers recommended?

By things you can see: how close they are, shared skills and interests, recent activity and mutual connections. Verified profiles get a small boost. Nobody can pay to rank higher.

Who can message me?

People you are connected with can message you. Anyone else can send one message request, which waits in your Requests inbox until you accept it.

How does getlocal keep people safe?

Members must be 18+, profiles can be verified, you can block and report anyone from anywhere in the app, and our team reviews reports against the Community Guidelines. In an emergency in Italy call 112.

Do I need to register to offer services in Italy?

Rules vary by activity and income. Many self-employed people in Italy need a codice fiscale, and a Partita IVA for ongoing self-employed work. Check the official government guidance before you start.
